France - Hauteford to Chauvigny

By 1929, the Baron Henry de Bastard and his wife bought the then uninhabitable Chateau and undertook its restoration. There was a fire in 1968 which destroyed the central block of the Chateau and it had to be restored again! The Baron and Baroness de Bastard did not use this room. It is the former great hall of Mr de Hauteford. It has not been used since the 18th century and was never completed.
